Our Leagues

Our leagues are happy to accept team or individual entries. Fees are determined by the amount of curling the member wants. The unlimited fee allows the curler to curl as much a they want. Curling in 2019/20 begins October 7, 2019 with the season finishing in April. Please remember that all league convenors are volunteers.

Daytime Leagues

Men's Classic

Teams in this league curl two 8 end games a week (times rotating). The game times rotate through Mondays at 10:15 am, Mondays at 1:00pm, Wednesdays at 10:15 am and Thursdays at 1:00 pm. This league is available to all but does consist of many retirees.

Tuesday Ladies

Players in this league play 8 end games on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm. This is a Team League with 8 end games.

Thursday Ladies

Players in this league play 6 end games on Thursdays at 10:30 am. This is a pickup league with teams determined by a draw from the hat.

Friday Afternoon Pickup

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Fridays at 1:00 pm. Players sign up on the sheet in the lobby before curling each game. This league is free for members and $10 per game for non-members.

Saturday Open League

Players in this leage play 8 end games on Saturday at 9:30am.  Players in this league include teams of friends, co-workers and pick-up curlers. This league is free for members and $10 per game for non-members.

Stick Curling

Teams in this league play games on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. 

Evening Leagues

Monday Open

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Mondays at 6:30 pm. The league is open to men’s, ladies, mixed, open, and youth teams. Teams are set up in skill level divisions.

Tuesday / Thursday Open

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm (these times are rotated). The league is mostly men but is open to all teams. Competition levels are determined by skill of team and divisional play.

Wednesday Night Open

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. The league is mostly women but is open to all teams.

Wednesday Learn to Curl

There are two 8-week programs held on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. The first program starts in mid-October while the second program starts in mid-January. Qualified coaches instruct delivery, sweeping and strategy sessions both on and off the ice.

Friday Night Mixed 

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Fridays at 7:00 pm. This is an associate league and payment is by the team. This leagues plays every Friday except with there are special events and bonspiels held on that Friday.

Doubles

Teams in this league play 8 end games on Mondays at 8:30 pm.

Youth Curling

Youth Learn to Curl (Saturdays)

This training league is open to youth 10 and up. Sessions are Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon.  Qualified coaches instruct delivery, sweeping and strategy.

Youth League (Saturdays)

This league plays 6 end games on Saturdays beginning at 1 p.m. and is open to all youth who have taken the Learn to Curl program.

High School League (Tuesdays and Thursdays) 

This league plays 8 end games alternating between Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 3:45pm. This league consists of teams from any local High School but all team members must be from the same school. The league is governed by Secondary School Competition Rules. Ice is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 5:30 pm. Season concludes with NOSSA (Northern Ontario Secondary School Athletics) playdowns in March.

Elementary School Leauge (Wednesday)

Nine week youth program (two weeks of curling instruction, seven weeks of games). The league is every Wednesday @3:45pm
